One of the most exciting changes is the tripled drop rate for Unique items as Ancestral, which will take effect once the Vessel of Hatred expansion launches. This was announced during a developer livestream and is being fine-tuned following feedback from the Season 6 PTR, where Blizzard tested drop rates for both Ancestral and Unique items. Ancestral items, which offer some of the best gear in the game, are currently only available to players who tackle World Tier 4: Torment, the highest difficulty level.

Key changes to itemization include:

• Triple the chance for Unique items to drop with Ancestral quality.
• Increased drop rates for Ancestral items in Nightmare Dungeons and Whispers.
• All Ancestral items will have Power 800 and at least one Greater Affix.
• Greater Affixes will only appear on Ancestral items.
• Sacred items will no longer drop, though existing ones will be marked as "Legacy" and remain usable but non-upgradable.

With these changes, the drop rate for Ancestral items in Diablo 4's Nightmare Dungeons and Whispers has been significantly boosted. Ancestral items, now guaranteed to have a Power level of 800, will also exclusively feature Greater Affixes. The removal of Sacred item drops is another notable adjustment, as players will no longer find these items but can continue using the ones they already possess.

The beginning of Season 6, alongside the release of Vessel of Hatred, marks an exciting period for the Diablo 4 community. Each class has received new skills and passives, offering players the potential for new builds. When the expansion arrives, players will have the chance to explore the Nahantu jungle, delve into Kurast’s new dungeons, and try out the new Spiritborn class, complete with its own Unique items to enhance gameplay.
