In early October, Game Freak, the developer behind Pokémon games, confirmed a significant data breach that exposed confidential information. While much of the leaked data pertained to upcoming games, it also seemingly hinted at a new Detective Pikachu movie titled The Great Detective Pikachu, reportedly in development since 2021. ComicBook.com highlighted that Jordan Vogt-Roberts, known for directing Kong: Skull Island, was attached to the project. Although plot details were part of the leak, it remains unclear whether this version of the film is still in the works or has undergone changes over the past four years.
