Call of Duty is set to revamp its user interface in response to fan complaints. For the past few years, all Call of Duty titles have been consolidated under a single app called Call of Duty HQ. While some players appreciate the convenience of switching between different games within the app, many have criticized it for being cumbersome and frustrating.
Despite hopes for the discontinuation of Call of Duty HQ, Activision will continue using it for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. However, the good news is that the UI is receiving a significant overhaul, and fans won’t have to wait until the game's release on October 25 to see the first changes.
Activision has announced that the new Call of Duty UI will evolve over three phases. Phase 1 commenced on October 21, introducing the new UI with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone as the primary focus. On October 25, Black Ops 6 will replace Modern Warfare 3 in the spotlight, allowing players to easily access the game's dedicated UI, where they can navigate to Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes. Phase 3 will align with the launch of Season 1, incorporating the Battle Pass into the UI and providing Warzone with a new interface akin to that of Black Ops 6.

Initial impressions of the revamped UI appear positive, and it promises to simplify the management of installed Call of Duty titles. Given the large file sizes of these games, the new UI aims to help players avoid downloading unnecessary titles.
It will be intriguing to see how the community responds to the updated Call of Duty UI, especially since the first iteration will go live before Black Ops 6 is released. Changes may be implemented based on player feedback, but that remains to be seen. Regardless, fans can expect numerous updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, with the return of Nuketown on November 1 and additional content slated for the upcoming Season 1 update.
