Palworld has just launched a Halloween-themed update, adding eerie new skins for select Pals, fixing various bugs, and increasing the text chat character limit in multiplayer mode. This seasonal update brings a spooky vibe to the game, allowing players to celebrate Halloween alongside their favorite Pals.
Initially released in January 2024 as an early access title, Palworld quickly gained traction with its unique blend of creature-catching and survival elements like crafting, farming, and combat. Nicknamed “Pokemon with guns,” the game allows players to capture creatures called Pals, equip them with weapons, assign them to work in factories, or even convert them into food. Despite some controversy over its similarity to Pokemon, Palworld was a commercial hit, boasting over two million concurrent players on Steam, which briefly made it the platform’s second-most-played game.
The Halloween update introduces four themed skins—Halloween Cattiva, Spectacled Katress, Pirate Pengullet, and Halloween Croajiro—that players can claim for free as long as they have at least one of the corresponding Pals. The patch also includes bug fixes to improve game performance and quality-of-life upgrades to enhance the creature-capturing experience.
