Genshin Impact is set to introduce the Ochkanatlan region in its upcoming Version 5.2, with a recent leak revealing the size and layout of the new map expansion. While Version 5.1 will primarily focus on the Archon Quest, the next two updates are expected to bring two new areas to Natlan. Version 5.2 will introduce the Flowerfeather Clan and the Masters of the Night Wind, allowing players to unlock the Natlan reputation glider as part of this expansion.
Alongside the new regions, two new characters will also debut in Version 5.2. Ororon, representing the Masters of the Night Wind, will be a 4-Star Electro Support character, providing buffs for the Electro-Charged reaction while dealing off-field damage. Chasca, from the Flowerfeather Clan, will be a 5-Star Anemo Hypercarry capable of applying various elemental damage types based on her team composition. Both characters will feature unique exploration abilities tied to their respective Saurians, giving players new tools to explore the expanded map.
According to leaks from Uncle Teyvat, the new Natlan map will introduce three key areas: Warped Branch Cliff, Mirrow Wall Mountain, and Ochkanatlan. The first two areas are likely associated with the two incoming tribes, with Warped Branch Cliff linked to the Masters of the Night Wind, whose symbol is a warped tree. Meanwhile, Ochkanatlan is described as a fallen civilization predating Natlan, and it is expected to play a central role in the upcoming World Quests.

The shape and layout of this expansion align with previously leaked topography maps, which also hint at the future addition of the Mare Jivari region. Although Mare Jivari won’t be available in Version 5.2, the expansion will extend Natlan’s playable borders significantly to the northwest. Warped Branch Cliff will connect to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame on its western side, and Mirror Wall Mountain will bridge Ochkanatlan with Huitzli Hill. The rugged landscape of Ochkanatlan suggests players will need to utilize the exploration abilities of the new Saurians to navigate the ruins of Cinder City.
With Version 5.2 expected to launch on November 20, 2024, players still have time to prepare by stocking up on Primogems and exploring the current regions of Natlan. Primogems will be essential for those looking to pull Ororon and Chasca from the Event Banners, and players can earn additional rewards through a new exploration structure. Each new region, including those introduced in Version 5.2, will award up to 400 Primogems to players who achieve exploration milestones within the first two updates following their release.
